Silent kill, staged accident, or guns blazing – Agent 47's freedom of approach.

The PC version of Hitman: Blood Money was released in 2006 alongside the PlayStation 2 and Xbox editions and offers the same gameplay – sprawling assassination levels emphasizing freedom of approach, careful planning, and the option to complete a job entirely silently, as a seeming accident, or, as a last resort, through open force using every weapon Agent 47 has picked up.

Thanks to scalable graphics settings, the PC version could, on more powerful hardware, offer noticeably higher resolution, sharper textures, denser crowds in busy levels, and better draw distance in open outdoor environments than the console editions, giving it a technical edge over both the PS2 and the Xbox. Controls were adapted for keyboard and mouse, which brought more precise and faster control than a gamepad's analog stick, especially when aiming at range and silently removing targets, though the game also supported a connected controller for players who preferred sitting in front of the TV.

In terms of content, the PC version is entirely identical to the console editions – the same levels, the same weapon arsenal, the same disguises, and the same rating system based on how discreetly the job was carried out. For computer players, however, it represented at the time the best-looking and most precisely controllable variant of the game, especially thanks to the mouse when silently eliminating targets from range and carefully planning a route through guarded levels.

Unlike the console versions, the PC release, thanks to the greater power of gaming rigs of the era, also allowed the game to run at a higher frame rate, which showed especially during faster firefights when the planned silent approach didn't work out. In terms of content, mission count, and rating system, though, it's the exact same game as on consoles – the difference lies purely in technical execution and control method, not in the substance of the individual assassination contracts.

Why play it: For players craving smoother performance especially in firefights when the silent approach fails – in content, missions, and rating system it's the exact same game as on consoles.
