The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

A cel-shaded Zelda that outraged fans when it was revealed and today ranks among the most beautiful games ever made. Link sails across a vast ocean, discovers islands and steers a magical little boat with a talking dragon head. The comic-book shading style hasn't aged even after twenty years and lends the story unexpected emotional depth. The combat, dungeons and music maintain the series' top standard, and sailing the sea has a peculiar meditative charm. The Wii U remaster only confirmed how timeless a piece it is.
