Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty

Here Hideo Kojima demonstrated a mastery of stealth action and narrative audacity. After the famous tanker prologue, the game surprisingly puts you in the shoes of the newcomer Raiden on the Big Shell oil platform. Alongside sophisticated sneaking and intelligent enemies, MGS2 offers a mesmerising plot about information, control and reality that was years ahead of its time. The interactive environment and countless details reward experimentation. A visionary, provocative and technically dazzling experience that is still discussed to this day.
