The official F1 game with a driving model built on "car feel".

F1 24 is the latest installment in the official series of games based on the Formula 1 World Championship, developed for EA Sports by Codemasters studio. Compared to previous entries, it brings a reworked driving physics model built around the concept of "car feel," which aims to more faithfully simulate the behavior of the season's real single-seaters, including reactions to tire wear, fuel strategy and changing track conditions during a rainy race. It also includes the story-driven Driver's Career mode, in which the player goes through a season as part of both a fictional team and the real teams on the grid, deals with engineers, and gradually builds a reputation in the paddock.

On PlayStation 5, the game runs at high resolution with support for higher frame rates, which is crucial for accurately reading the track and rivals in corners given the fast single-seaters reaching over three hundred kilometers per hour. DualSense haptic feedback conveys engine vibrations and how the chassis behaves when losing grip on curbs or wet asphalt, while the adaptive triggers simulate brake and throttle pedal resistance based on how hard they're pressed. The race presentation mimics Formula 1 television broadcasts, including results graphics, commentary, and the authentic sounds of each team's engines as well as the surrounding grandstand atmosphere.

The F1 series has long been considered the standard for official motorsport racing simulations, and its yearly installments, F1 24 included, tend to be judged mainly on how faithfully and enjoyably they capture the feel of driving a real single-seater, and on the small improvements to the career mode compared to the previous year. For Formula 1 fans, it's a natural choice on PS5, whether they want to play purely as a simulation with all driving assists turned off, or enjoy a more accessible, arcade-style difficulty setting. The offering also includes online multiplayer, where players compete in full championships with real scoring rules, collision penalties, and strategic pit-stop decisions, which keeps the game alive long-term beyond one-off career experiences.

Why play it: For Formula 1 fans, it's a natural choice on PS5, offering both a demanding simulation and a more accessible arcade setting, plus online championships with real rules.
