Official F1 simulation with reworked handling and the story mode Braking Point.

F1 24 continues the long tradition of official Formula 1 simulators from studio Codemasters, which has released a new installment every season since EA Sports took over the brand in 2021. On Xbox Series X/S, the game offers a reworked driving model, called by the developers dynamic handling, which attempts to more faithfully reflect the behavior of current single-seaters with downforce generated by the ground-effect, including a more sensitive response to suspension, brake, and weight-distribution settings. Alongside the classic Grand Prix mode, time trials, and online races, the story mode Braking Point returns, this time in its third episode, which through cinematic cutscenes and fictional characters tells a dramatic paddock story linked to the real drivers of the starting grid.

The career mode has been expanded with testing programs, daily scenarios, and deeper car development across the season, while the MyTeam mode lets you run your own team from scratch, including negotiating with sponsors and hiring staff. On Series X/S the game benefits from fast loading thanks to Smart Delivery and stable frame rates even in large starting grids, something that wasn't always a given on previous console generations. A range of assist features, from braking to shifting, makes the game accessible even to players without simulator experience, while experienced players can turn everything off and rely purely on their own feel for the track. Engine sound design and grandstand atmosphere add appropriate intensity to the races, especially in the rain or at dusk on tracks like Suzuka or Silverstone.

The F1 series has long managed to balance accessibility for casual players with depth for simulation enthusiasts, and F1 24 continues along this proven path more through evolution than revolution. For fans of the series, it's a reliable yearly addition, best appreciated by those who also follow real Formula 1 and want to experience the season from the cockpit's point of view, whether in a short weekend race or a multi-season career.

Why play it: For fans who also follow real Formula 1, F1 24 offers a reliable season from the cockpit's point of view, whether in a short weekend race or a multi-season career.
