Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction builds on a concept first tried out in the temporary Outbreak game mode within Rainbow Six Siege, and develops it into a standalone cooperative game for up to three players. Instead of facing off against human opponents, Rainbow operatives confront an alien threat called the Archæans, which is spreading across several American regions. Players choose from familiar operators from Siege, each equipped with a unique ability useful against the new alien vermin, and together complete a mission divided into several sectors of increasing difficulty.

The core element of the game is the risk-and-reward extraction mechanic — after completing objectives in one sector, a player can choose to push deeper into more dangerous territory for better rewards, or withdraw to safety with the loot already gained. If an operative falls during a mission, they remain "trapped" in the field and must be rescued in a subsequent mission, which adds long-term risk to what is otherwise an episodic structure of individual expeditions. The game also offers gradual unlocking of equipment, technology, and weapon variants, rewarding repeated playthroughs of the same sectors with different objectives and randomly generated conditions. Sectors can also be combined into longer, more demanding mission chains, giving more experienced teams room to plan their approach as carefully as in the series' classic entries — only this time against unpredictable alien vermin instead of human opponents.
