Rayman Fiesta Run
Rayman Fiesta Run is a direct sequel to Jungle Run, this time dressed in a carnival coat with masks, confetti, and music reminiscent of a fairground celebration. The principle stays the same – the character runs forward on its own and the player taps the screen to jump, double-jump, and strike, while the level design precisely times when a finger should land on the display. New costumes and playable characters were added, including Globox, unlocked gradually and serving more as a cosmetic reward than a gameplay advantage, and the level design occasionally ventures into bolder combinations of jumps and gliding than players were used to in the first installment.
Studio Pastagames once again relied on the formula that worked for the first game, focusing mainly on new content and fine-tuning the difficulty – the levels are somewhat more varied, and some sections force you to combine jumps with gliding more precisely than before. Visually, the game maintains the same clean, colorful style as the rest of the Origins series, just with added carnival decorations, fairground stalls, and masked characters in the background, so the sense of fluidity and playfulness is never lost, and the game feels like a feast for the eyes and ears.
Like its predecessor, this is a paid title without ads, which in 2013, amid the rise of free-to-play models, was still not a given, and pleasantly surprised many players at the time. For players who finished Jungle Run, this is more of an expansion of a beloved concept than a major innovation, but it's precisely the reliability of the design that makes both games a safe choice for shorter play sessions, ones you can return to even years later without a change of mood.
Why play: Suits fans of the first game who want more of the same precise running and jumping without paying for advantages and without annoying ads.
