Lords Mobile

A kingdom-building strategy game with real PvP and alliances of players from around the world.

Lords Mobile belongs to the family of mobile kingdom-building strategy games that dominated ad space on social networks and beyond in the mid-2010s. The player manages their own castle, mines resources, builds an army, and gradually joins a larger world full of other real players, with whom they can form alliances or, conversely, wage open conflicts over territory, heroes, and resources.

Controls are adapted to the touchscreen through a clear map and menus – most decisions happen outside of direct action, in the form of planning buildings, research, and troop movements that continue even in the background when the player doesn't have the app open. This model allows the game to be played in waves of short checks several times a day, making it more of a long-term commitment than a title for a single sitting. The social dimension of the game – guilds, alliances, and rivalry between servers – is one of its main draws and sets it apart from purely single-player strategy games, where the player competes only against the computer.

Monetization is built on a free-to-play model with a strong offering of speed-ups, special units, and subscription packages, so paying players advance noticeably faster than those who invest only time. The game still runs on regular updates, new heroes, and seasonal events, and remains among the longest-running, highest-grossing mobile strategy games ever.

Why play it: Suitable for players fond of long-term building and social strategy, who accept that faster progress often calls for payment.
