Concludes the stories of both Ezio and Altaïr; the aging master searches for a library in Constantinople.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations concludes the story of both Ezio Auditore and Altaïr ibn-La'Ahad within a single game. An aging Ezio travels to Constantinople to search for the library of Assassin Master Altaïr, and along the way uncovers his memories through five special keys, which the Animus reconstructs as playable flashbacks set centuries earlier. The game thus links two previously separate storylines and gives players answers to questions that had lingered since the very first game in the series, including the fate of Altaïr's family and the Apple of Eden, but also what awaits Ezio after years spent fighting for the Brotherhood, and what the aging Assassin master carries with him into his final years.

Besides the classic parkour and combat, Revelations adds new tools - a hookblade makes for faster movement across the rooftops of Constantinople, and a bomb-crafting system lets you combine explosive, smoke, and diversion charges depending on the mission at hand. The game also includes a side Brotherhood defense mode, in which the player protects assassin dens from Templar attacks through a simple tower-defense minigame with your own units positioned on rooftops. The multiplayer known from Brotherhood also continues, expanded with new maps, characters, and game modes focused on both team cooperation and solo hunting among civilians hidden in the city, where players try to expose one another before being struck down themselves.

Revelations launched simultaneously on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; the PC version arrived a month later with the same content and story, just with support for higher resolution and improved textures.

Why play: Revelations is for players who want to see the story of both Ezio and Altaïr come to a close and learn how their fates intertwine, and who will also appreciate new gameplay elements like the hookblade, which gives the old cities of Assassin's Creed new, faster movement and smoother combat.
