American Truck Simulator

American Truck Simulator is a trucking simulator from SCS Software that brings the proven concept of Euro Truck Simulator to the setting of the United States. As a truck driver, the player hauls cargo between American states, builds their own trucking company, hires other drivers, buys garages in multiple cities and gradually expands their fleet with licensed models of American tractor units from brands like Kenworth or Peterbilt, whose distinctive look is unmistakable for American highway hauling and sets it apart at a glance from the European tractor units of the sister series.

The game differs from the European series mainly in the character of the landscape - vast deserts, mountains, canyons and endless highways give the gameplay a different, more open sense of space, accompanied by a different rhythm of traffic regulations, weigh stations and the style of American highways. SCS Software gradually expanded the map with further states through paid expansions, so the game developed over the long term in a way similar to its European predecessor, and the map today covers a significant portion of the continental USA, from the Pacific coast to the central plains. The soundtrack, with radio stations, country music and the calm atmosphere of the highway, continues the series' proven, relaxing tone.
