Assassin's Creed Mirage

Assassin's Creed Mirage, in its 2025 mobile version, brings to phones the series' return to its roots — a smaller, more densely built world of medieval Baghdad focused on parkour, observation, and silent assassination rather than the sprawling open worlds of the series' recent major entries. Ubisoft released the port through Netflix Games, so it's played by streaming service subscribers without any further store purchase.

Controls have been adapted to a virtual movement stick and contextual buttons for climbing, jumping, and combat, with the game automating part of the parkour so touch controls can handle fast rooftop traversal without frustrating precision errors. Combat and stealth eliminations work reasonably well on touch, though finer maneuvers and quick reactions benefit from a connected gamepad. The game also offers social stealth tools — blending into crowds and tracking guards — that are typical of the series and, thanks to automation, work surprisingly smoothly on touch.

Visually, the port retains the dense, colorful atmosphere of Baghdad with its bazaars, minarets, and narrow alleys, as well as the emphasis on historical reconstruction of the city that has long set the series apart from competing open worlds. Its inclusion among Netflix Games titles confirms that fresh big-budget games now reach mobile alongside consoles and PC, not years after the original release. Players no longer have to wait years for a fresh major game to appear outside consoles and computers.

Why play it: For series fans and newcomers with a Netflix subscription who want a more compact Assassin's Creed game with parkour that's playable on a touchscreen too.
