LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a family action-adventure game from Traveller's Tales that for the first time brings all nine episodes of the main Star Wars saga into LEGO style within a single game, from The Phantom Menace to The Rise of Skywalker. The player goes through key scenes from all three trilogies, solves simple environmental puzzles, fights in lighthearted combat with lightsabers and blasters, and can freely move between levels across open planets full of side quests, collectibles, and unlockable characters. The game is built so that even younger or less experienced players can manage it, and the two-player split-screen co-op mode ranks among its greatest strengths.
On Xbox Series X|S the game runs in high resolution with a smooth framerate even on sprawling open planets, where multiple characters and vehicles can move at once without noticeable slowdown. The humor typical of the LEGO series, built on silent parody of well-known scenes without dialogue, works well even for players unfamiliar with the original films or for younger viewers.
Both critical and audience reception was very positive, with the scope of content, quality of the humor, and how well the game plays two-player on a single screen without a split display all being especially praised. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga ranks among the most ambitious entries in the whole LEGO games franchise, and on Xbox Series it offers one of the best family experiences set in the Star Wars universe. The large number of unlockable characters, including minor and lesser-known figures from all three trilogies, also gives the game long-lasting appeal even after finishing the main story of all nine episodes. The open planets with side quests and collectibles can also keep players entertained for dozens of hours even after completing all nine main episodes. The ability to freely switch between characters with different abilities also adds a light puzzle-solving element even to otherwise fairly straightforward combat sections.
Why play it: For families and Star Wars fans looking for fun to share two-player on one screen, with a huge number of unlockable characters from all three trilogies.
