Vacation Simulator
Vacation Simulator is the spiritual successor to Job Simulator, in which the same robots from the previous game get to know the human concept of a vacation. The player moves through three distinct environments – a beach, mountains, and a forest – where they can fish, grill, craft objects, paint, or simply relax, with each activity handled as a separate interactive experience with its own side tasks and unlockable content that motivates repeated visits to each location.
Compared to the previous game, Vacation Simulator offers a larger and more open environment to explore, more crafting options, and longer playtime, while retaining the same stylized, colorful visuals and robotic humor. Physical interaction with objects, pouring liquids, or combining ingredients while cooking are handled with great attention to detail, making simple experimentation with the environment the core of the fun. The game also allows crafting souvenirs and items that the player can bring back to their virtual home between locations.
The game was received as a successful expansion of the original concept, offering more content and longer lifespan for players who enjoyed Job Simulator. Thanks to its accessibility and gentle, relaxed atmosphere, it's often recommended as a good choice for players who just want to relax and experiment in VR rather than deal with tense action situations. Support for various headsets and undemanding graphics requirements also allowed the game to reach players with weaker gaming PCs. Robotic characters with their own personalities and voice lines give the individual locations character and playfulness, making the game a suitable choice for playing together with family or friends who have no prior VR experience. The expanded crafting system and the ability to store items in a virtual scrapbook also give the game a light collecting dimension that motivates repeated visits to already completed locations.
Why play it: For players who just want to relax and experiment in VR without tense action situations, ideally in the company of family or friends with no prior VR experience.
