Media Molecule's creation tool, where in VR you sculpt games and worlds directly in the air around you.

Dreams is above all a creative tool and platform for making games, animations, and interactive experiences, in which players can use Move controllers to sculpt their own models, program game logic, and assemble complete levels without writing a single line of code. PSVR support adds a new dimension to this creative process — the creator can step directly into a work-in-progress world, sculpt objects at real-world scale around themselves, and judge spatial compositions in a way a classic screen view could never offer. In this mode the Move controllers act as the sculptor's virtual brushes and tools, letting the player shape forms directly in the air with a movement of the hand.

Outside of creation mode, Dreams also offers a vast library of games and experiences made by the community, many of which can likewise be played in PSVR, meaning that the content available for the headset keeps expanding through the players' own work rather than the developer studio's alone. Media Molecule, previously known for the LittleBigPlanet series, built on its long tradition of shared-creation tools and, in Dreams, brought it to an exceptionally open and technically ambitious result. It is precisely this openness of the system and the ability to share and play others' creations that makes the scope of content practically unlimited, dependent only on the community's activity.

Upon release, Dreams was hailed as one of the most ambitious attempts at democratizing game creation, and its VR support was seen as a natural extension that brings the creative process closer to the feeling of actual sculpting and building. Given the practically unlimited amount of user content, playtime in Dreams is a matter of how much community creation a player is willing to explore, and the title remains one of the most open and longest-lasting tools PSVR has to offer. Even years later, Dreams is cited as an example of how far you can go when a game-creation tool is designed with full regard for spatial perception and the physical movement of the creator's hands.

Why play it: For creative players willing to spend dozens of hours sculpting and building in VR — the practically unlimited amount of community content makes Dreams one of the most open tools on PSVR.
