SSX Tricky
Extreme arcade snowboarding that elevated style into the main course of the game. You ride exaggerated tracks full of ramps, chain flashy tricks and fill up a meter that, once full, lets you pull off your character's impossible signature tricks. The brisk pace, distinctive characters and catchy soundtrack made SSX Tricky one of the best arcade sports of its era. Adrenaline, style and fun racing make this snowboarder a timeless classic you'll enjoy even years later.

SSX Tricky launched simultaneously on PlayStation 2, GameCube and Xbox in late 2001, and PlayStation 2 was the series' home platform ever since the original SSX, making it the version the franchise is most associated with. The content, tracks and soundtrack are essentially the same across all versions; the more powerful Xbox typically offered a slightly cleaner picture for multiplatform titles of the era, while the GameCube version stayed closest to the PS2 original in feel. None of the versions were noticeably cut down in content, so choosing a platform today comes down to which console and controller you have on hand, not how much fun you'd be missing out on.
