An expanded edition of the fighting game from CyberConnect2, completing the story through the battle of the fourth war.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst is an expanded version of the 2013 fighting game created for PlayStation 3 by studio CyberConnect2, based on the popular Naruto anime and manga. The Full Burst version builds on the original Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, adding new playable characters, further episodes, and completing the story arc through the pivotal battle of the fourth great ninja war, which the original release did not yet contain in full.

The gameplay is built on flashy 3D one-on-one duels taking place in expansive arenas, where players can freely run along walls and trees. The battles are complemented by allies summoned into the fight, a system for interrupting the opponent's attacks, and visually spectacular special techniques referencing key moments from the series, including massive team attacks called Awakening. Between individual duels, the player moves through a story mode that combines free movement around locations from the Naruto world, conversations with characters, collecting side quests, and quick missions, making the game follow the structure of more of an adventure than a pure fighting game and giving the story more room to breathe.

The cel-shaded graphics faithfully mimic the style of the animated series, and the soundtrack and Japanese voice acting borrow many elements directly from the anime, making the game especially appealing to fans of the series who will appreciate even minor references to lesser-known characters and moments from the manga. Full Burst also includes additional missions, costumes, and bonus content that were missing from the original version of the game and were only added with this expanded release.

Why play it: For spectacular fighting animations and a faithful translation of Naruto's story into playable form.
