An FPS from the creators of GoldenEye 007, traveling through history from the Wild West to sci-fi.

A wild shooter from the creators of GoldenEye that travels through time from the Wild West through gangster Chicago to a neon future. It stands out with a polished campaign, but above all a legendary four-player split-screen multiplayer packed with dozens of characters and crazy modes. Fast, funny and loaded with content including a custom map editor. For many, TimeSplitters 2 is the best arcade FPS of its era and the immortal king of couch mayhem.

TimeSplitters 2 launched on PlayStation 2, GameCube and Xbox at essentially the same time, and the main campaign along with its many arcade modes stay identical across all versions. As with most multiplatform shooters of that generation, Xbox's more powerful hardware and extra memory generally allowed slightly sharper textures and a steadier frame rate than PlayStation 2 or GameCube. The GameCube version benefited from an excellent analog controller well suited to fast arcade firefights, while PlayStation 2 remained the most widely owned choice thanks to its huge installed base. No major content differences between the versions are documented, so any of the three is a safe pick today.
