TimeSplitters 2
A brisk shooter from the creators of the legendary GoldenEye. Across eras from the Wild West to the future you chase time thieves with an enormous dose of humor and style. The split-screen multiplayer stands out most, with dozens of maps, bots and crazy modes. Polished action, a map editor and an unmistakable irreverence will keep you glued to the screen with a group for whole evenings. Each era offers its own visual style and weapons. Varied challenges extend the fun. For fans of console FPS, unrepeatable fun for the whole group.

TimeSplitters 2 launched on PlayStation 2, GameCube and Xbox at essentially the same time, and the main campaign along with its many arcade modes stay identical across all versions. As with most multiplatform shooters of that generation, Xbox's more powerful hardware and extra memory generally allowed slightly sharper textures and a steadier frame rate than PlayStation 2 or GameCube. The GameCube version benefited from an excellent analog controller well suited to fast arcade firefights, while PlayStation 2 remained the most widely owned choice thanks to its huge installed base. No major content differences between the versions are documented, so any of the three is a safe pick today.
